Credit Suisse AG is a leading global financial services company, headquartered in Zurich. The company decided to adapt its governance structure for regulatory or risk-related training to better align it with the strategy and organizational structure it announced in October 2015.
Credit Suisse already had a robust program for global bank-wide training. However, individual training programs for groups of fewer than 10,000 employees didn't fit that in process. As a result, the number of de-centralized online learning programs increased and the number of global mandatory online learning programs decreased, and their access was restrictive and not mobile-friendly. This strained the resources of learning content providers. To address these changes and challenges, the Credit Suisse Learning team -working in partnership with the Compliance function - decided to increase the transparency of mandatory eLearning while improving the user experience and adopting a mobile learning and development solution.
For years, employees at Zurich-based Credit Suisse asked for mobile learning options. But with multiple learning systems in place, it wasn't an option. Fortunately, when Credit Suisse turned to Saba Cloud, mobile learning quickly became the norm.
Now Credit Suisse is able to offer learning to about 50,000 employees in more than 50 countries, and in more than 140 locations. Employees are eager to access their training and can do so on demand, at their own pace. Languages and times zones no longer present an obstacle to completing mandatory training sessions.
By using Saba Cloud, Credit Suisse reduced their pricing costs by more than 40 percent. As the learning department worked closely with upper management, they were able to devote resources to a top executive priority: Credit Suisse's own business school, which has been a leader in the industry. The bank is well on its way its goal of supporting and enabling its employees in their search for learning and development that offers what they need to be successful at work.
Since migrating to Saba Cloud, Credit Suisse has seen clear indications that its compliance training program is now much more effective, including:
- 100% of regulatory managed training is governed centrally, compared to only 14% two years ago.
- A 40% reduction in costs associated with learning and development.
- Increased training completion rates with the new delivery model.
- Since the start of 2017, senior managers have used mobile devices to complete mandatory training, resulting in greater productivity.
